Mildura West honours club legend John Hall

THE memory of late Mildura West Cricket Club legend John Hall was honoured on Saturday with the official unveiling of John Hall Oval at the Old Aerodrome Sporting Complex.

Mr Hall, a former president of the club for more than two decades, died in 2010 but his legacy lives on at the club.

He was instrumental in West's shift to the Old Aerodrome Sporting Complex among his other contributions to the club and cricket in the wider community.

The club celebrated with a past players and sponsors day on Saturday, also holding an exhibition Twenty20 match between a Westie XI and a John Hall XI, with the John Hall XI taking the spoils in a final over thriller.
