OUYEN United will officially unveil former AFL ruckman Mark Jamar this weekend against Irymple.

There are few events that bring tractors to a halt in the Mallee, especially in the middle of the cropping season, but the debut for the Kangas of the former All-Australian Jamar is set to do just that.
On Saturday, at Blackburn Park, the Kangas face-off against Irymple in a must-see replay of last year’s grand final, with the man known as “The Russian” front and centre.
Jamar is excited and ready following several weeks’ lay-off after helping his mate, and Southern District’s assistant coach Ryan Ayres, to the Northern Territory Football League premiership. Speaking to Sunraysia Daily, the 160-game veteran with Melbourne and Essendon, reflected briefly on a football journey that started in South Australia.
