THE northern end of Meridian Road is now closed after the Yelta levee was breached on Wednesday evening.
Water is now flowing into low lying areas around the Yelta GrainCorp facility.
Residents with properties on Hoyle Road will be affected.
Bunker Road, which runs close to parallel with Meridian Road, has also been closed.
A separate levee has been constructed to prevent floodwaters reaching the grain facility.
Heavy vehicle trucks delivering grain can now detour via Paschendale Avenue & Fifth Street.
