MILDURA police say it was "disturbing" that more than 200 speeding motorists were nabbed during a five-day Easter long weekend operation across the Western Division region including one driver who was clocked at 174km/h.

Motorists were put on notice by police well before the beginning of the statewide Operation Compass that they would saturate local roads throughout the high-risk period.
