At Irymple Primary School we are extremely proud of the authentic leadership opportunities that our Grade 6 students put into action.
The students are involved in a number of leadership groups that have a genuine purpose and allows them to demonstrate our school values of pride, learning, respect and safety.
Every Grade 6 student is involved within a team that exhibits positive outcomes for the school. We have the following teams set-up: Arts, Grounds, Lunch Time Activities, Canteen, Breakfast Club, Bus and Public Relations.
Some of the Art Room leaders like Adelina and Megan enjoy being with the students and helping with their creativity. They take pride in preparing tasks for younger students and they wear their badges proudly.
Lucinda and Hanna are part of the lunch time activities team. They learn how to restructure lessons and give feedback to younger students. They always demonstrate safety by setting clear rules for their tasks.
Aurora and Cooper show pride and respect through the Public Relations team. They set the right example and demonstrate respect by learning every student’s name in the school and announcing it accurately at Assemblies.
Ryder and Shae lead Breakfast club and have learnt valuable lessons about customer service. They demonstrate how to be respectful towards others.
Trin and Azalea are part of the Bus team. They take great pride in helping people to get home safely.
Rubi and Indi enjoy the Canteen. They take pride by keeping it clean and are able to teach valuable lessons in cleanliness and the prevention of spreading germs.
Finally, Finn helps out with the grounds. He shows respect to the other students by undertaking daily duties in unlocking parts of the grounds for all the students to play safely.
The leadership of the students is one crucial component to the success of our school.
