VETERANS

THE Sunraysia and District Victorian Veteran Golfers Association 2023 schedule commences after our summer break in just four weeks time.

The initial round will be as planned, playing a 4BBB Stableford game at the Mildura Golf Club on Monday, March 6. However due to the flooding and subsequent water damage to the Riverside and Wentworth courses the planned schedule will be modified. The second and third rounds have been relocated.

The April round allocated to Riverside will now be held at the Mildura Golf Club and the May round, due for Wentworth will be played at Robinvale. The rest of the schedule will remain the same.

Clubs are confident that the courses will recover to ensure the rest of the season will continue as planned.

Members are asked to spread the word amongst colleagues to ensure these changes are known to local players. We thank both Mildura and Robinvale for their support in providing alternate venues.

It has been very much appreciated that Red Cliffs, Mildura and Merbein golf clubs have been very accommodating to Riverside, Wentworth and Coomealla players while their courses have been affected by the flooding.

The regular format will be in place with all rounds starting with registration commencing around 8.30am with a 9am address from the captain and a 9.30am shotgun start. The day ends with presentations and lunch and it is still only $20 per round.
