Seventh Street servo and store ready this month

A NEW service station is only weeks away from opening at the intersection of Seventh Street and Orange Avenue in Mildura.

Construction of the Mobil fuel station and Xpress convenience store began last year and is on track to be complete by February 20.

The new Mildura service hub will sell E10, ULP, PREM 98 and diesel fuel, as well as a variety of hot and cold food, coffee and convenience products.

An Xpress Stores spokeswoman confirmed on Friday the opening of the store would create about four jobs.

It’s not the only new service station in the works in Mildura and the wider region.

South Australian group OTR have said a Mildura fuel and convenience store at the corner of Fifteenth Street and Deakin Avenue was expected to be completed later this year.

In January, OTR community partnerships manager Joann Skene said the company’s research indicated fuel consumers in Sunraysia were paying more than four cents per litre more than necessary and the OTR Mildura store would help drive down fuel prices.

Balranald Shire in December approved a new United Petroleum 24-hour service station in Euston, to be located at the intersection of the Murray Valley Highway and Sturt Highway.
