Mildura Grand Tennis International gets under way

THE Mildura Grand Tennis International warmed up yesterday with men and women’s qualifying rounds.

Visitors and locals alike flocked to Mildura Lawn Tennis Club  to watch representatives from 11 countries battle it out on court, each hoping to gain valuable points to help their climb up the world rankings.

Tournament director Andy Reynolds said while the first few days “tend to be a bit quiet”, the turnout was still impressive with “plenty of activity” happening throughout the day.
