MORE than 200 extra seats will soon become available on the Melbourne-Mildura flight route.

Qantas this week reintroduced a Q400 plane to the route, a 78-seat plane which will become a regular feature between the destinations.

The plane is also faster than the smaller Q300 planes it will be replacing, which only have 50 seats.
