Timetable changes open for comment

NSW TrainLink, New South Wales’ long distance public transport operator, had opened its proposed coach timetable changes to the community for comment, with the changes aiming to create more travel options for locals.

The timetable changes will occur mid-2026 and aim to expand on the existing network of services.

The changes include extra services on some routes, new stops for accessibility, improved connections to other transport, and adjusted timetables.

For Broken Hill, that can mean a potential extra service on a Monday between the town and Mildura, via Menindee and Pooncarie.

The timetable also proposes extra buses to Dubbo for Wilcannia, Cobar and Nyngan, and more buses on other popular routes.

Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Jenny Aitchison said the proposed new routes will deliver improved connections.

“This will lead to better transport integration with other modes such as train, bus and plane so that members of the community are better able to access vital services including health, education and employment,” she said.

“Improved NSW TrainLink coach services also allow community members to stay connected with family and friends and enjoy entertainment and recreation in major centres, so there are numerous wellbeing benefits.”

People have until Friday January 14 to look over the plans and give comment via the State Government’s Have Your Say website

“I encourage everyone to provide feedback so we can best plan for future need and make sure people can get where they need to go when they need to travel,” Ms Aitchison said.
