PEOPLE travelling from Victoria to South Australia no longer have to take a COVID-19 test on arrival, SA Premier Steven Marshall announced on Monday.
Gathering and density restrictions in SA also lifted and mask-wearing requirements were eased after the state “dodged a bullet” with its response to growing virus numbers.
However, a hard border closure will stay in place for NSW, as well as Western Australia, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory. SA’s transition committee will meet again on Thursday to consider easing those travel rules.
NSW residents living within 100km of the SA border who have not travelled beyond 100km into NSW in the past 14 days can enter SA without needing to test or quarantine.
