Tennis and bowls clubs open doors for new programs

MILDURA Workers Bowls Club and Mildura Lawn Tennis Club are providing sport options for people with disabilities in February and March.

On Tuesday evenings, from 6-7pm, Mildura Workers Bowls Club will co-ordinate an all-abilities lawn bowls program. 

This will start on February 2 and run until March 30. It is a free program which will allow people to come along and enjoy and learn the basics of lawn bowls. 

Mildura Lawn Tennis Club (MLTC) will be conduct a social tennis program for people with disabilities on Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm. Everyone is welcome to come and join the program which will run from February 3 to March 31.

 If you are not a member of the MLTC it will be $6 to play each week. For club members it is free.

There will be social matches and some minor coaching to help improve skills.

Club professional Bill Madafferi will conduct the sessions.
