Mildura Lawn Tennis Club titles decided

JOEL Hamilton and Brenda Hornsby have combined to win the Mildura Lawn Tennis Club (MLTC) A grade mixed doubles championship.

The talented duo proved too strong for Matt Bates and his partner, talented junior Chloe Barker, on Saturday.

In perfect conditions, Hamilton led from the front, his big serve causing plenty of problems for the opposition, while Hornsby was steady all day.

B grade was taken out by veterans Marty Smith and Wendy Dickie, with Malcolm Hare and Sue Hardie runners-up.

In the junior mixed doubles championship played on Saturday morning, Lachlan Adolph and Renee Affleck proved too strong for Matthew Hancock and Alana Wall in A grade.

B grade was won by Brandon Chevlin and Nicola DeMaria, with Genero Mammone and Amber Barnes finishing as the runners-up.

Section four: Lachlan Clixby 24/9, Pranav Chowdry 14/19. Section five: Quinn Turnbull 13/6, Darby Fraser 12/7.
