Bambill minor premiers – just

BAMBILL are officially this year’s Millewa netball minor premiers, but it was close.

A percentage gap of less than two separated the Saints and Werrimull, each on 50 points, after Saturday’s final home-and-away round.

Bambill’s 51-31 win over Cardross was enough to secure top billing.

Samantha Garraway was named as the Saints’ best, while Ebony Roberts and Mikayla Mole were also among the best performers.

Best for the Lions went to Breigh Hammet, Darcie Gray and Montanna Ezzey.

The Saints will be looking to keep up their good form in this Saturday’s second semi-final against the Magpies.

Cardross are set to take on Nangiloc in Sunday’s first semi-final.

Werrimull made up plenty of percentage ground, defeating Gol Gol 79-35.

The result left the Hawks winless for the season.

Magpies playing coach Anna Thomson was one of the top performers of the match, with Erin Sell and Aislinn Campbell also demonstrating their skill.

Reba Curran, Jemma Lawn and Abbey Curran were the Hawks’ best in the tough match.

In their preparation for finals, Nangiloc closed out Meringur’s season with a 57-31 win.

Demons midcourter Tamara Loveridge was named as one of her team’s best, along with defender Ginine Sluiter and shooter Chloe Nelson.

Meringur’s Teagan Pettigrew, Bella Connell and Fionna Wright finished off their 2024 season with strong performances.
