Swallows aim for consistency

A 15-goal win by Mulundar (Irymple) over Kuluruku (Merbein) might look impressive on paper, but the Swallows’ A Grade coach said it could have been better.

With a result of 51-36 over the visiting Magpies, Irymple coach Sherrie Geister said focus was an issue for her squad.

“Our second half was better then our first half,” she said. “It was quite even until half-time.”

“When we were going right, it was perfect. We were playing very nicely.

“We just need just tend to get into a little patter of something bad goes wrong and everyone just feeds off each other.

“We just need to eliminate the mistakes.”

With the Swallows sitting third on the A Grade ladder, Geister said the strategy down the stretch was clear.

“We just need to win every game,” she said. “It’s pretty straightforward.

“If we can string a few string a few more consecutive quarters together I think we have a chance of doing that.

“We seem to fade in and fade out of quarters. If we can be a little bit more consistent that would be good.

“I think it’s coming together. We’ve got players in there that have not really played netball before and new people to the club.

“Each week it’s better.”
