Three break clear in Millewa A Grade

EBONY Roberts and Tessa Houkamau starred for Bambill in their top-of-the-table victory against Nangiloc on Saturday.

The race for supremacy in the Millewa netball A Grade competition appears to be a race for three between Bambill (first), Nangiloc (second) and Werrimull (third) as the trio break clear of fourth-placed Gol Gol.

The Saints accounted for Nangiloc 43-37, recording the team’s eighth win in their 10 games.

Samantha Garraway also played well for the Saints alongside Roberts and Houkamau.

Elsewhere, Werrimull beat Cardross 47-22 in tough, windy conditions at Lake Cullulleraine.

The Magpies’ best were Aislinn Campbell, Anna Marshall and Olivia Putland.

In the other game, Gol Gol dusted off Meringur 39-22.

The Hawks were led by Abbey Lovell, Chelsea Henderson and Brooke Oosting.

For Meringur, Madelyn McPhee, Lakayla Pettit and Susie Wilson played well.
