NANGILOC notched up their fifth straight victory on Saturday to set the pace in the Millewa A Grade netball competition.
The Lions’ athletic goal keeper, Corrine Best, was at her very best as the home side dusted off Cardross 50-20.
Charlotte McKendrick and Ebony Greenhill were also outstanding for the Lions.
Nangiloc’s best players were Tamara Loveridge, Chloe Nelson and Tess Thompson.
Bambill, sitting in second behind the Lions, recorded their fourth win of the season against fourth-placed Gol Gol on Saturday.
The Saints, who have also had a draw, edged the Hawks 46-40 in a tight tussle.
Tessa Houkamau, Kaylie Monaghan and Roanna Gathercole were the shining lights for the Saints.
The Hawks were best served by Katrina Sobkowiak, Abbey Curran and Amy Hunt.
Elsewhere, Werrimull beat Meringur 47-36 at Lake Cullulleraine.
Aislinn Campbell starred for the Magpies (3-2), who sit in third while the Roos (1-4) are in fifth.
This weekend’s round, “Mega Day”, will be played at Mildura Sporting Precinct.
