‘Roos take netball title in a thriller

WENTWORTH’S  A grade netball team has maintained their winning streak, defeating Ouyen United by 1 goal in the grand final.

Finishing with a score of 45 to Ouyen United’s 44, Wentworth powered ahead during the final moments of the last quarter to steal the lead from the Kangas.

Ouyen United had an opportunity to draw the game after the final buzzer when contact was called on Esther Manley. But, Unfortunately for the Kangas, Manley missed the final shot, cementing Wentworth’s win.

Wentworth’s Molly Mangan was named best on court.
