Irymple to test its position against Ouyen United

IRYMPLE faces a key test of its top-four credentials when it hosts fellow SFNL A-grade netball finals contenders Ouyen United at Henshilwood Oval today.

The Swallows head into the clash in fifth spot with five wins, five losses and a draw after 12 rounds.

They play third-placed Ouyen (6-3-1) in a pivotal game to their hopes of making the play-offs.

Second-placed Mildura (9-2) edged the Swallows by a goal last week, showing that teams below the rampant Wentworth Roos (10-0) are evenly matched.

The Dees meet sixth-placed Imperials (5-6) at Mildura Recreation Reserve this afternoon.

With six rounds left, Imps will need to beat the teams placed above them to have any hope of reaching the finals.

The Roos (10-0) return from the bye for the trip to Kenny Park, where they’ll tackle second-last Merbein (2-8-1).

In today’s other clash, Red Cliffs (7th, 3-7) host the winless Robinvale Euston at Quandong Park.
