MILDURA Heat's Big V Basketball division 1 women's got off to the perfect start as a brilliant all-round performance ensured they took the points over Collingwood All Stars on Saturday night.

New US import Courtney Shaw took out the competition on notice with a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds in her Australian debut as a fast starting Heat went on to win 70-58.
