THE idea that his Dakar Rally dream is mere weeks away from becoming reality is sinking in for Gol Gol's Toby Hederics.

The 29-year-old endurance rider has been on a two-year journey to take part in what is regarded as the world's toughest off-road motor race, and a bucket list event for any motor head.
