MURRAY Darling Golf Association has inaugurated a volunteer appreciation award to acknowledge the hundreds of unpaid hours community members contribute to their local golf clubs.

Most recipients of the inaugural awards won't expect or likely want the acknowledgment as they volunteer willingly and happily.
