WHEN piloting became an obsession for James Nugent at the Sunraysia Gliding Club, he had no idea it would lead to a world championship.

The 25-year-old is now on top of the world after claiming top honours in the club class at the 37th FAI World Gliding Championships held in Narromine, NSW.
