THE popularity of squash in Mildura is set for a big bounce.

That's the expectation on the local squash community as the new courts at Mildura Sporting Precinct prepare to open to the public.

"There’s real excitement and buzz amongst our members," Mildura Squash president Kevin Healy said.

"The extra court space will certainly allow us to attract more players and establish a junior program.
