THE finals of the Volleyball Victoria Country Championships will be held at Mildura Sporting Precinct on Monday morning.

Sunraysia’s Division 1 women’s team were beaten in their opening match three sets to two against Bendigo on Saturday.

They then fell to Horsham and Warrnambool in their following games on Saturday, and then lost to Ballarat on Sunday.

The Sunraysia men’s Division 1 team fared better, however, splitting their opening four matches to sit third on the ladder.

Games were being played in divisions 1-3 for men and women, along with junior boys and girls, until late on Sunday.

By the close of play on day two, teams will be decided to play off in the bronze and gold-medal games on Monday from 9am at MSP.
