A FOURTH placing at the IWWF Oceania Championships at Lake Mulwala on the weekend has fired the ambitions of Joey Sherry, Mildura's rising star of the slalom water-skiing world.

The 21-year-old was one of seven Sunraysia competitors at the two-day event, which covered multiple disciplines including tournament, barefoot ski, wakeboard and ski racing.
