JOSH Carmichael will make his AFL debut on Saturday after he was named in the Collingwood side to face North Melbourne at the MCG. 

Carmichael was named as an emergency on Thursday night, but coach Craig McCrae surprised the former Merbein footballer by announcing he would play in the presence of Carmichael’s parents Chris and Wayne.
