SOUTH Mildura defeated Irymple to take the first win of the season in Saturday's first round of A-Grade netball.

Pushing hard against each other for the full four quarters, Irymple fell behind South Mildura, who were able to carry the lead and come out on top with a final score of 46 to Irymple's 38.
