Young hockey players ready to strike

MORE than 60 Sunraysia hockey players are heading off to Melbourne this weekend for the Junior Country Championship (JCC).

Players from the region will go head-to-head with regional Victoria's best - from North Central Victoria, East Gippsland, Goulburn Valley, Albury-Wodonga, Glenelg and Ballarat.

For the first time in years, Sunraysia will enter teams in each age group.
