Sunraysia teams tackle Riverland Dinghy Derby

THERE was mixed success for a number of local teams who competed in the Riverland Dinghy Derby at the weekend.

The best placed team were brothers Jai and Beau Bildstein who finished second in the 30HP Standard Class.

Sean Peterson and Ben Mereditth also had a good race crossing the finish line in sixth position, but for Lochlan McGlynn and Jackson Barbary their day was marred by a number of issues.

The local team were forced to change their prop on two occasions when it was damaged after hitting underwater stumps, but despite the setback were still able to finish in 13th position in a field of 35 competitors.
