Sports fest teams locked in

THE four A-League squads coming to town for the One Agency Mildura A-League Festival of Sport have been confirmed.

Following Adelaide United’s departure from knock-out competition the Australia Cup on Saturday, the Reds are now locked in for the A-League pre-season fixture on the first weekend of October at Mildura Sporting Precinct.

The confirmation means the men’s game will be played between Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar, while in the women’s match the Reds will take on Western United.

A fundraiser for the Mildura Base Public Hospital Foundation, the A-League Festival of Sport will include a children’s football skills workshops the day before the big games.

The A-League pre-season games take the field at the MSP on Saturday, October 5, with gates open from 12pm.

The women kick off at 2pm, while the men get under way from 5.30pm.

Adult tickets are $21.50, 16 years and younger $11.50 and children five and under enter free.

Participation in the junior clinic is for ages between 16 and five, with the event running from 9.30am to 4.30pm and registration is $86.50.
