FOOTBALL Federation Sunraysia S-League action begins tomorrow as the new title race takes shape.
Defending senior men’s and women’s champions Mildura City, which also took out the Round Robin Cup, will have the opening round bye allowing others to make an early statement.
Fellow senior women’s contenders Irymple Knights and Nichols Point will come face-to-face in the season opener after the teams shared a 1-all result during the pre-season tournament.
The Pointers were second on the senior men’s table during the Round Robin Cup after recording a win, a draw and a loss, the stalemate coming in a nil-all result against this weekend’s opponents.
Three Colours, meanwhile. will make their first appearance of the season after not taking part in the pre-season games.
They will take on Mildura United whose best result was a 3-all draw against Knights.
S-League senior women’s action starts at Old Aerodrome Ovals Soccer Park from 12.40pm on Sunday, with senior men’s action beginning at 4.55pm.
