Soccer results: Mildura City triumphs over Nichols Point

MILDURA City demonstrated their formidable scoring power as they triumphed over Nichols Point in a resounding 11-0 victory in S-League women’s competition on Sunday.

Chenoa Hunter and Ellie Dimasi stole the show by each securing a hat-trick, with Isabella Palamara and Lillee Driscoll each scoring a brace, leaving Nichols Point’s defence helpless against their relentless attacks. Mildura City’s clinical finishing and offensive prowess proved to be too much for the Pointers to handle.

In senior men’s action, Irymple Knights bounced back from their defeat to Mildura City the previous week to secure a comfortable 5-0 win over Mildura United.

With a 2-0 lead at halftime, the Knights continued to dominate in the second half, netting a further three in a performance that surely pleased coach Phil Karallis.

Kieran Burrows found the back of the net twice for Irymple.

The final senior men’s match featured Three Colours, who claimed back-to-back victories with a 3-1 win over Nichols Point.Holding a 1-0 lead at halftime, courtesy of a Brandon Zaffina goal, Three Colours started the second half with a burst of energy, scoring two quick goals through Sofiane El Ghhazali and Lucas Martin to establish a commanding 3-0 advantage.

Although Nichols Point managed to find the net late in the game, it was not enough to overcome the solid and well-organised Three Colours team.
