Football Federation Sunraysia 2019 Awards

MILDURA City’s Nicolas Woods is the 2019 Football Federation Sunraysia S-League senior men’s best and fairest.

Woods, who also won the senior men’s goalscoring with 24 goals, polled 16 votes in Friday night’s count to beat out Three Colours’ Nebraska Wilkie by two votes.

Woods led by that margin going into the final round, with his side having a bye rendering him unable to extend his lead.

But Wilkie did not poll in Three Colours’ title clinching 7-0 win, leaving Woods the victor.

In the Senior women Shania McKinnon’s sporting exploits added another chapter with the Northern Suns dynamo adding a best and fairest of her own.

Following up from being 12th man for Mildura Settlers in their Sunraysia Cricket Association First Division flag for 2018-19, being part of Settlers’ champion women’s team and being part of Bambill’s 2019 Sunraysia Women’s Football League premiership she claimed her grade’s top individual honour.
