Clubs keeping it together

SPORTING clubs play a vital role in the ­mental wellbeing of the community.

It’s Okay Not To Be Okay co-founder Georgia Hocking, who will attend today’s Mental Health Game between SFNL clubs Merbein and South Mildura with sister ­Maddi, says the sense of belonging that comes with ­being part of a sporting club is good for a person’s mental health.

“I think something that is good for wellbeing is having somewhere to belong – football and netball clubs provide that for ­people,” she said.
