Polata cleared to play

ROBINVALE Euston’s Liua Polata is free to play tomorrow after escaping with a reprimand for striking at Wednesday night’s SFNL tribunal.

Polata was booked for intentionally striking Ouyen United’s Jake Cresp during the Eagles’ win over Ouyen United at the weekend and was found guilty, however the tribunal panel elected to hand the teenager a severe reprimand rather than a ban.

Intentionally striking would have attracted a two-week set penalty had Polata elected to accept it, however he and the club took their case to the tribunal.
