Sunraysia football: Merbein bring self-belief to finals ambitions

SELF-belief is a powerful thing within football clubs and there is plenty of it at Merbein’s Kenny Park this year.

After finishing on the bottom of the ladder in 2018 the Magpies are sitting in fourth position after the completion of four rounds and for the first time since 2016 are looking serious finals contenders.

Saturday’s 62-point win over last year’s finalists Red Cliffs has done nothing to dampen expectations and coach Jarrod Buckley is happy to ride the high.
