OUYEN United has been issued with a “please explain” by the AFL Sunraysia Commission over suspected salary cap breaches.
Club officials have been given 14 days to respond to AFL Victoria’s integrity officer about player travel related expenses relating to the 2018 season, when the Kangas won the SFNL premiership.
Ouyen United last year had four players regularly travelling from Darwin for games, while McLeod medalist Josh Gregg commuted from Adelaide and former AFL ruckman Mark Jamar from Melbourne.
It is the travel expenses relating to these players which the integrity officer is seeking further clarification.
