A BEEFED up midfield and strong preseason numbers have Merbein coach Jarrod Buckley feeling a lot more confident than he did 12 months ago about the start of the Sunraysia Football Netball League (SFNL) season.
The Magpies have been busy over the offseason adding depth to their midfield with the recruitment of Oscar Whitty, Daniel Gormley and Mathew Dooley.
Gormley has previously played with the Dromana and Mt Eliza football clubs in the strong Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League (MPFNL) and was a regular interleague representative.
