It was almost the perfect final act to a grand career.
Todd Hughes’ last kick in the Sunraysia Football Netball League sailed through the big sticks. Moments later he was chaired off the field through a guard of honour comprising Mildura teammates and fans, Robinvale-Euston players and family and friends.
The only downside was that the Demons couldn’t pull off a victory for their vice-captain, former coach and three-time best and fairest at City Oval.
