Damage could have been ‘far worse’

RED CLIFFS’ Myles Warmington will miss the final two rounds of the home-and-away season after being found guilty of unbecoming conduct at Wednesday night’s special hearing of the Sunraysia Football Netball League tribunal.

Warmington, who pleaded not guilty to the charge of unbecoming conduct in that he engaged in rough conduct against Robinvale-Euston’s Liua Polata, was suspended for four weeks with two weeks suspended until the end of the 2019 season.

The tribunal heard lengthy submissions from both players involved, the investigating officer Simon Middleton, defense advocate Tim Hassell and several witnesses before delivering the verdict.
