
IRYMPLE’S Dan Coghlan was honoured to be told he would be captain this season.
In just his second year at the club, Coghlan won the nod from his teammates to be their skipper as the Swallows embarked on defending their premiership.
The midfield gun said there were others at the club who were capable of the job, but the presence of such leaders made it “a pretty easy transition” into the captaincy.
“You’ve got Tom Brownbridge and Nick Mee and Nathan Hamence just to name a few,” Coghlan said.
