SFNL: Tyler Martin number 2 steps in

TYLER Martin says he is enjoying the extra responsibility that comes with a coaching role.

The 26-year-old younger brother of reigning McLeod Medal winner Josh Martin has stepped up to be an assistant coach at the Demons under senior coach Heath Caldwell, even co-coaching the side with ­Jacob Gooden in Caldwell’s round 7 absence, and says the extra responsibility hasn’t been too much of a burden.

“I go into each week with the same mindset and try to play my role for the team,” Martin said.
