SFNL: Imperials star Adam Hartlett contemplates future after injury

IMPERIALS co-coach Adam Hartlett thought someone had kicked him when he felt the injury that may end his playing career. The 32-year-old key forward suffered a partial tear of his Achilles tendon late in Imperials thrashing of Wentworth on Saturday and Hartlett said yesterday his future in football was uncertain.

“I’d be very lucky to get back (this season), even if we played finals,” Hartlett told Sunraysia Daily.

“I’m pretty much done for this year and I don’t know where footy, at this stage, fits with me – I’m at the stage of my career where I’m in that transition into coaching.
