AFL Victoria Community Championships: Sunraysia sit steady despite loss

SUNRAYSIA remains the 19th-ranked league in the AFL Victoria Community Championships, despite a 41-point loss to Central Murray at the weekend.

The official 2019 rankings released by AFL Victoria yesterday following this year’s interleague matches on Saturday mean, as it stands, Sunraysia could host Southern Football Netball League (20th) next year.

However, the updated rankings do not represent a confirmed schedule of matches as leagues are given the opportunity to opt-in or withdraw from the competition each season, which can impact fixtures.

The 32 community football leagues that participated in the 2018 championships have been assigned new nominal rankings.
