Tough time for Ouyen United

OUYEN United midfielder Josh Gregg says the whole football club feels for fallen teammate Luke Stanbrook after the key forward was ruled out for the rest of the season.

Stanbrook, who going into round five was leading the Bland Medal, will require a knee reconstruction after an ACL injury sustained last weekend against Wentworth.

“I’ve been speaking to him a fair bit and he’s absolutely shattered, he’s really disappointed,” Gregg said.

“It was such an unlucky event, he was in such good nick and it’s just one of those ones where there wasn’t really much in it.
