Matt Dea ready to bounce back

FORMER Imperials junior Matt Dea says he’s feeling good after a leg injury interrupted his 2018 AFL season.

Dea was in Essendon’s senior side before he picked up a hot spot in his shin, which put him on the sidelines for a month.

But Dea, speaking at a footy clinic with students at Ouyen P-12 College this week, said he had pulled up well after making a return in the VFL last weekend.

His goal now is to earn his way back into the senior side and solidify a spot in the back line.

“(I’ll) play VFL and put my hand up for selection and hopefully get the season back on track for a finals berth,” he said.
