Dream start for Josh Taylor

IT was a debut Josh Taylor will never forget.

Just over a week before his 17th birthday – he turns 17 on Sunday – Taylor  ran out for Imperials’ seniors for the first time in their 96-point SFNL demolition of Red Cliffs at City Oval.

The joint 2017 Virgona medallist as the SFNL’s Under 16s best and fairest was lively in the win – and even managed to get on the scoreboard.

“Hamish (Ryan-Dengate) was in front of me, he tapped it behind his legs and I picked it up and it was just a snap straight through,” Taylor said about his first goal (he finished with 2.3 for the day).
