SFNL: Red Cliffs bare new teeth against Ouyen United

IT may have been a practice match, but Red Cliffs weren’t taking their pre-season carnival game against Ouyen United lightly.

A very different Tigers outfit will line up for their season opener against Irymple this weekend, but the makeshift team that accounted for a young Ouyen United side by 24 points at George Gordon Oval was there to win.

Red Cliffs went in wanting to estab­lish winning form and explore their depth, and recruited playing co-coach Brian Fenton liked what he saw.
