Irymple riding wave of success

IT has been a good 12 months for Irymple sporting teams.

In various sports the small town has reached the peak, including the Swallows saluting in both the 2017 senior football and A Grade netball (SFNL) competitions, the Irymple Knights winning all three Football Federation Sunraysia titles (the pre-season cup, the league championship and grand final series) and the Irymple Suns becoming the holders of the Bowls Sunraysia Division 1 flag – and those are just the senior victories.

This weekend the Irymple Cricket Club will vie for its first Sunraysia Cricket Association First Division flag since the 2009-10 season when the team plays Mildura Settlers at Coomealla, looking to add themselves to the town’s list of recent sporting success stories.
